It was a shipbuilding port and a commercial fishing center. The current lighthouse is Port Clinton’s second\, it was built in 1896 and has recently been restored. \n\n\n\nThe festival features free lighthouse tours\, antique and classic wooden boat show\, historic talks\, an art show\, the United Way Incredible Duck Race\, and much more. \n\n\n\nThere will be merchandise and food vendors\, musical entertainment\, and plenty of activities for kids.

SUMMARY:Wren Wiffleball Tournament
DESCRIPTION:The Wren Wiffleball Tournament takes place annually at Wrenway Park in Van Wert County\, on the third weekend of August. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Wren Wiffleball Tournament is hosted by the Wrenway Park Wiffleball Warehouse and is a two day annual event that is great fun for the whole family to enjoy. \n\n\n\nWiffleball is a simplified version of baseball. The lightweight ball has to be hit within a triangle\, and depending on where it lands\, it is scored accordingly. A ball hit outside of the triangle is a ‘foul ball’. The batters do not run\, and the fielders do not chase the ball. \n\n\n\nThere is a reverse raffle that will be drawn throughout the tournament. Visitors can also enjoy a fireworks display\, live music\, food and beverage garden\, a cornhole tournament\, a pie baking contest\, egg toss\, a pie eating contest\, a parade\, and the awards ceremony and Hall of Fame Induction. \n\n\n\nThis event has no website\, so we are linking to their Facebook page below\, where you will find all the details.

SUMMARY:Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival
DESCRIPTION:Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival is a three-day summer event celebrating the German bratwurst. It is held in Bucyrus on the third weekend of August. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival is the only festival in Ohio that holds a parade every night.  \n\n\n\nThere will be eating contests\, beer gardens\, the crowning of the Bratwurst Royalty\, a stein auction\, and free entertainment. Rides and games will be there\, too!  \n\n\n\nA craft show will be open all three days. Adults and children in grades K through 12 are eligible to enter the art show.  \n\n\n\nThere will be other contests\, too! A Pigtail Contest\, a Pretty Baby Contest\, and the Royalty Pageants will also be fun to watch! \n\n\n\nThe parades will be at 7 pm on Thursday and Friday. On Saturday\, it kicks off at 4 pm. The parade route starts at the intersection of North Sandusky Avenue and runs south.  \n\n\n\nThe 5K Color Run/Walk starts at 9 am at Bucyrus High School on Saturday. DESCRIPTION:**THIS FESTIVAL IS NOT TAKING PLACE IN 2025\, BUT WILL RETURN IN 2026** \n\n\n\nAll Ohio Balloon Fest is a hot air balloon festival at the Union County Airport in Marysville in August. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIf you love seeing hot air balloons floating through the sky\, you are in luck! All Ohio Balloon Fest has that and so much more! You can see over 15 hot air balloons in the sky! Not only that\, but you can go on hot air balloon rides\, bi-plane rides\, helicopter rides\, and tethered balloon rides!   \n\n\n\nThere is a daily balloon launch after 6 pm and a nightly glow after dusk. There will be aerial entertainment as well. \n\n\n\nKids will have fun on the jumpies and getting their faces painted. The kids’ fun space will be open on Friday and Saturday only\, from 2 pm to 8 pm. Friday and Saturday admission for kids 10 years and under is free.  \n\n\n\nFood and non-food vendors will be there! Grab some food\, and cold beer\, and enjoy the live music bands and singers! \n\n\n\nThere will be a 5K walk/run. DESCRIPTION:North Ridgeville Corn Festival is an annual summertime weekend event that takes place in August at South Central Park in North Ridgeville. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe North Ridgeville Corn Festival is a family-friendly event full of fun and entertainment! Voted one of the best festivals in Lorain County by Pulse Magazine\, it offers free parking\, free admission\, and free live entertainment. Some categories are Custom Street Rod\, Exotic\, Street Legal Muscle\, and Gold Wing-Furthest. A corn-eating contest is also planned for Saturday\, with divisions including Youth\, Junior\, Teen\, and Adult.  \n\n\n\nA Grande Parade will occur on Sunday from 1:30 pm to 3 pm\, featuring a mile of people\, vehicles\, and floats.  \n\n\n\nKids’ crafts\, inflatable games\, and rides will be there! Axe throwing\, extreme bubble soccer\, bull riding experiences\, bouncy castles\, giant slides\, and obstacle courses are planned. DESCRIPTION:Berlin Heights Basket Festival is an annual celebration that honors the local tradition of basket-making. It occurs in early August in Berlin Heights. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBerlin Heights Basket Festival is a summertime event with food and craft vendors\, games\, live entertainment\, and fireworks! Youth and adult contests and activities are planned. There will be contests for Queen\, Prince & Princess\, and Baby. Check out the open market\, and be entertained at the kiddie tractor pull. There will be a flower show\, too.  \n\n\n\nDon’t miss the marching band! The grand parade starts at the Berlin Heights Fire Department at 1:30 pm on Saturday. A tractor show immediately follows the parade. The tractors will be parked at Biltz Automotive on E. Main Street. \n\n\n\nThe Royal Schedule for Friday starts with the Beautiful Baby Contest at 5:30 pm in the school gym. At 7 pm\, the Queen’s Contest and youth pageants occur on the main stage. SUMMARY:Shelby Bicycle Days
DESCRIPTION:Shelby Bicycle Days is an annual community festival held in July at Black Fork Commons in Shelby. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA family fun event for more than 25 years\, Shelby Bicycle Days incorporates the history of Shelby bikes into two days of exciting activities. From a parade to a community challenge to a jaw-dropping fireworks display\, there is something for everyone at this festival! \n\n\n\nFood trucks and non-food vendors will be there from 11 am to 10 pm on Friday and 11 am to 11 pm on Saturday.  \n\n\n\nTake a selfie or group photo with the light-up marquee letters at the end of the Main Midway! \n\n\n\nDon’t miss out on the Kids Passport Contest for a chance to win Target gift cards. An inflatable zone will be open on Friday\, and Saturday. The Kids’ Safety Spot is a touch-a-truck event on Friday\, where your kids can explore safety service vehicles.  \n\n\n\nOn Saturday\, the annual Lindy Flyer Biker Tour starts at 8:30 am at the corner of W. Main Street and Washington Street\, at the flag park. \n\n\n\nThe parade is scheduled for 2 pm along Main Street and Gamble Street. See the Whiz Bang Science Show following the parade at the Black Fork Common Amphitheater. Make sure to bid on your favorite pie at the auction\, also after the parade at Central Park Gazebo.  \n\n\n\nMusic in the Amphitheater is on Saturday at 7:30 pm. DESCRIPTION:Lilyfest is a festival in Rockbridge at Bishop Educational Gardens that takes place in July. Three days of family-friendly fun! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLilyfest is a free\, summer celebration of art\, music\, and gardens. Over 60 fine artists and craftspersons will be there to sell their arts and crafts. Mediums include pottery\, garden art\, jewelry\, glasswork\, leather\, sculpture\, and more! \n\n\n\nThere will be live music on two stages.   \n\n\n\nYou can also wander through three acres of artistically designed gardens\, ponds\, and garden sculptures. A Viking Village and the Forrest Friends exhibit for kids of all ages are sure to delight!  \n\n\n\nFood will be offered by Chef Moe’s On-the-Go\, including sandwiches\, salads\, and special desserts. DESCRIPTION:Picktown Palooza is a three-day\, family-oriented celebration in July in Pickerington. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIf you are looking for a fun event this summer\, Picktown Palooza is the place to go! From a national entertainment line-up\, lots of food vendors\, beer gardens\, and carnival rides\, to a Freedom 5K run/walk\, a business showcase\, and a car\, truck\, and bike show\, this palooza has something for everyone! \n\n\n\nThere is a full entertainment lineup\, and food vendors will be there to satisfy your cravings. Beer Gardens will be open from 5 pm to 11 pm on Thursday\, and from 5 pm to midnight on Friday and Saturday.  \n\n\n\nKids’ Corner is an exciting area planned for kids 10 years old and younger. They will have fun on Uncle Sam’s Slide and the large Jurassic Park Bounce/Slide Combo\, or making their way through the Jurassic Park Obstacle Course. Kids can get their faces painted\, get an airbrush tattoo\, or have a balloon animal made. COSI Connects Curbside: Science LIVE! will be doing multiple shows.  \n\n\n\nThe Freedom 5K run on Saturday starts at Victory Park and follows the bike path through Sycamore Creek Park. SUMMARY:First Town Days Festival
DESCRIPTION:The First Town Days Festival is held at Tuscora Park\, New Philadelphia\, in July. The festival helps to raise funds to support park projects\, as well as being great family fun! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe festival opens at 4 pm on Thursday. There will be vendor booths and food trucks throughout the festival. \n\n\n\nSee the Grand Parade and enjoy entertainment and live music in the Cronebaugh Tent and on the Al Maloney Midway stage at various times over the four days. \n\n\n\nActivities include a Bocce tournament\, bingo\, softball games\, a baby contest\, a kiddie tractor pull\, a pedal tractor pull\, a men’s leg contest\, and a pie-eating contest. \n\n\n\nVisitors can demonstrate their talent at the amateur talent show and see the cars of yesteryear at the Classic Car Show. \n\n\n\nFun family events include a fishing derby\, a frog-jumping contest\, turtle races\, parent/child sack races\, and parent/child hoop shoot.
