DESCRIPTION:Light in the Forest is a 1-mile walking trail at the Cincinnati Nature Center at Rowe Woods in Milford through most of December. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe trail takes visitors past ponds\, woodlands\, and fields\, with light displays and interactive activities. \n\n\n\nFeaturing children’s craft and interactive activities\, live music\, a bonfire\, a beautifully decorated historic home\, food trucks\, and holiday shopping. \n\n\n\nIf available\, tickets will be sold at the gatehouse\, but this event is expected to sell out\, so purchasing tickets online is advised. Tickets are on sale from early November. \n\n\n\nThe walks start at specified times – 5.30 pm\, 6.30 pm\, and 7.30 pm. The trail is open Thursday\, Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday for four weeks\, and December 22nd and 23rd also.

DESCRIPTION:The Live Nativity Drive-Through is held at the Coshocton Christian Tabernacle in early December. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Live Nativity Drive-Through has become a holiday tradition for many in the area. \n\n\n\nDrive through the live scenes depicting the birth of Christ\, starting at the marketplace in Bethlehem. Pass the inn which is full for the evening\, and on to the stable where Joseph\, Mary\, and the baby Jesus are celebrating the birth. \n\n\n\nA host of heavenly angels alert the shepherds of the good news\, while the Wise Men worship the newborn child. \n\n\n\nThe journey continues through scenes of the most-told stories about Jesus\, including the carpenter’s shop\, Jesus walking on water\, Jesus at the tomb\, and more. The journey takes around 10 minutes. \n\n\n\nThis is a free event and it is open from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm each evening.

DESCRIPTION:Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks invite you to participate in their Metro Parks Winter Hike Series. Featuring different parks from December through February. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Winter Hike Series kicks off on December 1 at Blacklick Woods Nature Center from 5 pm to 7 pm for hot chocolate and a walk under twinkling lights. \n\n\n\nThroughout December\, visitors can walk under the lights at Highbanks\, Battelle Darby Creek\, Blacklick Woods\, Homestead\, and Inniswood Gardens. The lights go off at 8 pm. There are also special evening lantern walks at Chestnut Ridge in early December. \n\n\n\nJanuary features for 2026: Clear Creek\, Prairie Oaks\, Rocky Fork\, Scioto Audubon\, Scioto Grove\, Sharon Woods\, Slate Run\, Walnut Woods\, and Blendon Woods Metro Parks. Visit the website to see the times that refreshments are offered at each location. \n\n\n\nFebruary focuses on Glacier Ridge\, Pickerington Ponds\, Quarry Trails\, and Three Creeks Metro Parks. Refreshments will be available at the listed times. \n\n\n\nAt the end of February\, hike the paths of Blacklick Woods Golf Course to collect your Winter Hike patch if you have your card stamped from seven of the listed places at the shown times. DESCRIPTION:Clifton Mill Christmas lights always open the day after Thanksgiving and continue until December 30. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOver 4 million lights illuminate the mill\, the gorge\, the riverbanks\, trees\, and bridges. There is even a 100-foot “waterfall” of twinkling lights. DESCRIPTION:Butch Bando’s Fantasy of Lights is at Alum Creek State Park Campgrounds from mid-November to early January. \n\n\n\nPhoto courtesy of Butch Bando’s Fantasy of Lights\n\n\n\nButch Bando’s Fantasy of Lights is a locally operated drive-thru light show in the Columbus area. \n\n\n\nThe drive-thru is three miles long and has over 300 displays\, multiple tunnels\, and light walls. It is about a 30-minute drive from start to finish. \n\n\n\nChildren can bring letters to Santa. Mrs Claus will deliver them to the North Pole! They are scanned and emailed back to the parents so they know what their children have asked for. \n\n\n\nThe busiest times are normally weekends in the lead-up to Christmas. \n\n\n\nThis drive-thru is open every day\, including Thanksgiving Day\, Christmas Eve\, Christmas Day\, New Year’s Eve\, and New Year’s Day. An evening of family fun is guaranteed! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Christmas Ranch has seven Christmas shops including Christmas Memories\, Santa’s Castle\, and Stocking Stuffers. \n\n\n\nOpportunities for photos with Santa in the perfect setting and take a train ride and wagon ride around the light show. The kids will have lots of fun in Toyland\, featuring tunnel slides\, tire swing\, rock climbing wall\, and much more. \n\n\n\nTake a break in Santa’s Bakery and Café and enjoy a hot chocolate\, soft drink\, or coffee\, a selection of sweets and warm food such as hamburgers\, hotdogs\, and pizzas.

SUMMARY:Medina Candlelight Walk
DESCRIPTION:The Medina Candlelight Walk is held in late November. Medina is a wonderland of lights for these three days. \n\n\n\nImage courtesy of Main Street Medina\n\n\n\nThe Medina Candlelight Walk opens on Friday with the tree lighting in the gazebo. There is Holiday shopping and a Holiday market all day. \n\n\n\nThe Holiday Parade of Lights is on Saturday evening\, after which there are photo opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Saturday is rounded off with ‘Light Up The Night’ fireworks display. \n\n\n\nSanta will be available for visitors to take breakfast with on Sunday morning\, with more photo opportunities. SUMMARY:Christmas Cave at White Gravel Mines
DESCRIPTION:The Christmas Cave at White Gravel Mines is open each Friday and Saturday evening for five weekends in November and December. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Christmas Cave tells the story of the birth of Jesus\, and the Easter Cave in the Spring tells the rest of the story. \n\n\n\nAll ages are welcome! Enjoy the beautiful lights\, see the story of Jesus\, and try some delicious barbecue. No pets allowed. RSVP for bus groups. \n\n\n\nIt is a self-guided tour that involves a lot of walking. The path is clearly marked\, and you can visit at your own pace. Benches are available throughout the display.
