DESCRIPTION:Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks invite you to participate in their Metro Parks Winter Hike Series. Featuring different parks from December through February. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Winter Hike Series kicks off on December 1 at Blacklick Woods Nature Center from 5 pm to 7 pm for hot chocolate and a walk under twinkling lights. \n\n\n\nThroughout December\, visitors can walk under the lights at Highbanks\, Battelle Darby Creek\, Blacklick Woods\, Homestead\, and Inniswood Gardens. The lights go off at 8 pm. There are also special evening lantern walks at Chestnut Ridge in early December. \n\n\n\nJanuary features for 2026: Clear Creek\, Prairie Oaks\, Rocky Fork\, Scioto Audubon\, Scioto Grove\, Sharon Woods\, Slate Run\, Walnut Woods\, and Blendon Woods Metro Parks. Visit the website to see the times that refreshments are offered at each location. \n\n\n\nFebruary focuses on Glacier Ridge\, Pickerington Ponds\, Quarry Trails\, and Three Creeks Metro Parks. Refreshments will be available at the listed times. \n\n\n\nAt the end of February\, hike the paths of Blacklick Woods Golf Course to collect your Winter Hike patch if you have your card stamped from seven of the listed places at the shown times. DESCRIPTION:Nature’s A-Glow is a walk-through Christmas light display at Beech Creek Botanical Garden in Alliance from late November through late December each year. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNature’s A-Glow is a winter wonderland of Christmas light displays at Beech Creek Botanical Garden and Nature Preserve. \n\n\n\nMany of the light displays are synchronized to music as visitors walk around the garden. This experience takes anywhere from 40 minutes to 3 hours. \n\n\n\nHot chocolate\, popcorn\, hot dogs\, soft pretzels\, and nachos are available to purchase\, or roast marshmallows by the fire. \n\n\n\nBe sure to take the kids to visit Santa’s Workshop with their wish list! \n\n\n\nCreate a festive wreath at the Williamsburg Wreath Workshop. \n\n\n\nTickets are available online\, and hours vary\, so check the website for the times you wish to visit. DESCRIPTION:The Lorain Winterfest is a one-day festival held in late November. SUMMARY:Christmas Lights at Clifton Mill
DESCRIPTION:Clifton Mill Christmas lights always open the day after Thanksgiving and continue until December 30. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOver 4 million lights illuminate the mill\, the gorge\, the riverbanks\, trees\, and bridges. There is even a 100-foot “waterfall” of twinkling lights. DESCRIPTION:Butch Bando’s Fantasy of Lights is at Alum Creek State Park Campgrounds from mid-November to early January. \n\n\n\nPhoto courtesy of Butch Bando’s Fantasy of Lights\n\n\n\nButch Bando’s Fantasy of Lights is a locally operated drive-thru light show in the Columbus area. \n\n\n\nThe drive-thru is three miles long and has over 300 displays\, multiple tunnels\, and light walls. It is about a 30-minute drive from start to finish. \n\n\n\nChildren can bring letters to Santa. Mrs Claus will deliver them to the North Pole! They are scanned and emailed back to the parents so they know what their children have asked for. \n\n\n\nThe busiest times are normally weekends in the lead-up to Christmas. \n\n\n\nThis drive-thru is open every day\, including Thanksgiving Day\, Christmas Eve\, Christmas Day\, New Year’s Eve\, and New Year’s Day. DESCRIPTION:The Camden Black Walnut Festival is held on the third weekend of October each year. With lots of fun and attractions for all ages\, this is one of the best festivals in southwest Ohio! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Black Walnut Festival has more than 120 craft vendors offering handmade and artisan crafts\, fall produce\, antiques and collectibles. There are 25 food trucks too. \n\n\n\nThere is a car and truck show that usually has more than 200 vehicles to view. \n\n\n\nKid Zone has bounce houses\, face painters\, balloon artists\, games\, kiddie tractor pull\, and a train ride. \n\n\n\nThere is live entertainment throughout the festival at two venues.
