SUMMARY:First Town Days Festival
DESCRIPTION:The First Town Days Festival is held at Tuscora Park\, New Philadelphia\, in July. The festival helps to raise funds to support park projects\, as well as being great family fun! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe festival opens at 4 pm on Thursday. There will be vendor booths and food trucks throughout the festival. \n\n\n\nSee the Grand Parade and enjoy entertainment and live music in the Cronebaugh Tent and on the Al Maloney Midway stage at various times over the four days. \n\n\n\nActivities include a Bocce tournament\, bingo\, softball games\, a baby contest\, a kiddie tractor pull\, a pedal tractor pull\, a men’s leg contest\, and a pie-eating contest. \n\n\n\nVisitors can demonstrate their talent at the amateur talent show and see the cars of yesteryear at the Classic Car Show. \n\n\n\nFun family events include a fishing derby\, a frog-jumping contest\, turtle races\, parent/child sack races\, and parent/child hoop shoot. DESCRIPTION:Picktown Palooza is a three-day\, family-oriented celebration in July in Pickerington. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIf you are looking for a fun event this summer\, Picktown Palooza is the place to go! They will have fun on Uncle Sam’s Slide and the large Jurassic Park Bounce/Slide Combo\, or making their way through the Jurassic Park Obstacle Course. Kids can get their faces painted\, get an airbrush tattoo\, or have a balloon animal made. COSI Connects Curbside: Science LIVE! will be doing multiple shows.  \n\n\n\nThe Freedom 5K run on Saturday starts at Victory Park and follows the bike path through Sycamore Creek Park. DESCRIPTION:Shelby Bicycle Days is an annual community festival held in July at Black Fork Commons in Shelby. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA family fun event for more than 25 years\, Shelby Bicycle Days incorporates the history of Shelby bikes into two days of exciting activities. Main Street and Washington Street\, at the flag park. \n\n\n\nThe parade is scheduled for 2 pm along Main Street and Gamble Street. See the Whiz Bang Science Show following the parade at the Black Fork Common Amphitheater. Make sure to bid on your favorite pie at the auction\, also after the parade at Central Park Gazebo.  \n\n\n\nMusic in the Amphitheater is on Saturday at 7:30 pm. The 4H parade begins on Walnut Street and runs through the square. \n\n\n\nFriday opening is at 11 am. The fun run and 5K run take place starting at 5.30 pm. A live band will play on Courthouse Lawn at 8.30 pm. \n\n\n\nThe festival opens at 11.30 am on Saturday. SUMMARY:Wine and Walleye Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Wine and Walleye Festival is held on Bridge Street\, in the heart of Historic Ashtabula Harbor\, in late July. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis festival celebrates the two things that Ashtabula County is most famous for: wine and fishing. \n\n\n\nA fishing tournament with amateur and pro divisions starts on Saturday for the early bird fishermen at 5.30 am. \n\n\n\nFor the duration of the festival\, the Lettie G. Howard schooner will be docked in the harbor\, and visitors will be able to sail on her. \n\n\n\nThe wine tent will be open throughout the festival with wineries such as Hundley Cellars\, CLE Urban Winery\, and Laurello Vineyards. \n\n\n\nUnique vendors\, food trucks\, and more will be at the street fair. \n\n\n\nA lighted boat parade on Saturday evening is followed by a fireworks display. \n\n\n\nFestival hours: \n\n\n\n\nFriday: 4 pm – 9 pm\n\n\n\nSaturday: 12 pm -9.30 pm\n\n\n\nSunday: 12 pm – 5.30 pm\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDo you have an event that you want to feature (for free) on our VisitOhioToday events calendar?
