DESCRIPTION:The Barnesville Pumpkin Festival is a four-day event held in September with a variety of activities for all ages. It features agricultural and horticultural displays\, an antique car show\, the Giant Pumpkin Parade\, and retail window displays. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFestival highlights include amusement rides\, children’s crafts\, a tractor cruise\, and numerous contests like fudge\, tall tales\, pumpkin roll\, and fiddle\, banjo\, and mandolin contest. \n\n\n\nAdditionally\, there are contests such as the pumpkin baby contest\, pie baking\, little Mr. and Miss\, and a beard and mustache competition. \n\n\n\nFor fitness enthusiasts\, there is a 5K run and fitness walk\, with race day registration available from 6:45 am to 8:15 am at the Watt Center near the train depot. \n\n\n\nThe highlight of the Barnesville Pumpkin Festival is the Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off\, where enormous pumpkins are showcased.
