DESCRIPTION:The Maple Syrup Festival is a cherished winter event held at Hueston Woods State Park in Oxford to celebrate nature and delicious maple syrup. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou won’t want to miss the Maple Syrup Festival this winter\, held on the first 2 weekends of March! From pancake breakfasts to hayrides to birds of prey\, there’s a variety of things to see and do here. (See the 2nd weekend event) \n\n\n\nStart each day with pancakes at the lodge. Drizzle maple syrup on those all-you-can-eat pancakes and fill up! \n\n\n\nNext\, a free hayride will take you to the starting point of a guided hike. This hike will take you through Big Woods\, where you will learn about maple syrup production. When the hike comes to an end at the Houston Woods Sugar House\, you are welcome to purchase all kinds of things\, from maple syrup to beverages and more. \n\n\n\nWhile you’re here\, make sure to stop by the Houston Woods Nature Preserve to see exhibits outside and indoors. DESCRIPTION:The Ohio Maple Madness Driving Trail takes place over two weekends in March\, and there are more than 40 participating maple syrup producers. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOrganized by the Ohio Maple Producers Association\, this self-guided tour of maple syrup producers takes place on the first two weekends of March. \n\n\n\nThe producers offer different things for visitors to enjoy\, such as sampling the syrup straight from the tree\, hauling wood and seeing the boiling process\, watching horse-drawn sleds carrying sap\, and more. \n\n\n\nSome locations also have hiking trails on site or nearby. Naturally\, all locations sell their maple syrup! \n\n\n\nThere is an online Tour Booklet\, a Printable Tour List\, and a map. DESCRIPTION:Carroll St. Pat’s Fest is an Irish celebration that starts on Friday evening and runs during the afternoon and evening on Saturday in March at the Carroll Cafeteria & Gymnasium. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFriday evening kicks off with a traditional Irish Fish Fry meal. This is strictly for adults only\, and is eat-in. The evening continues with gambling and games of chance\, carnival games\, and basket raffles. There will be live music until 11.30 pm. \n\n\n\nSaturday and kids are now welcome! Visitors can see Irish Dancers\, indulge in carnival food\, and enjoy live music. SUMMARY:Railfest Train Show
DESCRIPTION:The Railfest Train Show is the largest continuous running two-day train show in Ohio that takes place at Lakewood Community College in Kirtland. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented by National Model Railroad Association MCR Division 5\, the Railfest Train Show is hailed as one of the best and largest model railroad train shows in Ohio. This family activity offers six train rooms to visit. New and collectible trains will be there! \n\n\n\nThere will be model railroad dealers and operating model railroad displays. The operating layouts will be as follows: N Scale\, O Gauge\, S Scale & American Flyer\, Lionel O Gauge\, LGB G Gauge\, and Live Steam Display. \n\n\n\nSome highlights of the train show include an RR flea market\, as well as exhibitors\, videotapes\, and historical displays. A test track will be available\, too.  \n\n\n\nTrain ride info will be available. There will be free parking and a free shuttle bus.  \n\n\n\nChoose from a variety of foods\, like a sausage\, egg\, and cheese breakfast sandwich or a bagel with cream cheese to a chili dog\, turkey wrap\, or garden salad.
