DESCRIPTION:Butch Bando’s Fantasy of Lights is at Alum Creek State Park Campgrounds from mid-November to early January. \n\n\n\nPhoto courtesy of Butch Bando’s Fantasy of Lights\n\n\n\nButch Bando’s Fantasy of Lights is a locally operated drive-thru light show in the Columbus area. \n\n\n\nThe drive-thru is three miles long and has over 300 displays\, multiple tunnels\, and light walls. It is about a 30-minute drive from start to finish. \n\n\n\nChildren can bring letters to Santa. Mrs Claus will deliver them to the North Pole! They are scanned and emailed back to the parents so they know what their children have asked for. \n\n\n\nThe busiest times are normally weekends in the lead-up to Christmas. \n\n\n\nThis drive-thru is open every day\, including Thanksgiving Day\, Christmas Eve\, Christmas Day\, New Year’s Eve\, and New Year’s Day. SUMMARY:Christmas Lights at Clifton Mill
DESCRIPTION:Clifton Mill Christmas lights always open the day after Thanksgiving and continue until December 30. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOver 4 million lights illuminate the mill\, the gorge\, the riverbanks\, trees\, and bridges. There is even a 100-foot “waterfall” of twinkling lights. DESCRIPTION:Christmas in Zoar is a series of guided tours of Historic Zoar Village over three Saturdays in late November and early December. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Christmas tours at Zoar Village take visitors back in time to explore beautifully decorated historic buildings\, each showcasing German Christmas traditions and the origins of Christmas traditions. \n\n\n\nEnjoy the festive atmosphere of Zoar’s historically preserved village and hear stories of Christmas past. \n\n\n\nThe Christmas tours are held on the last Saturday of November and the first two Saturdays of December. \n\n\n\nTours begin every half hour\, the first is at 11 am and the last is at 4 pm on each of the three days. DESCRIPTION:Nature’s A-Glow is a walk-through Christmas light display at Beech Creek Botanical Garden in Alliance from late November through late December each year. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNature’s A-Glow is a winter wonderland of Christmas light displays at Beech Creek Botanical Garden and Nature Preserve. \n\n\n\nMany of the light displays are synchronized to music as visitors walk around the garden. This experience takes anywhere from 40 minutes to 3 hours. \n\n\n\nHot chocolate\, popcorn\, hot dogs\, soft pretzels\, and nachos are available to purchase\, or roast marshmallows by the fire. \n\n\n\nBe sure to take the kids to visit Santa’s Workshop with their wish list! \n\n\n\nCreate a festive wreath at the Williamsburg Wreath Workshop. \n\n\n\nTickets are available online\, and hours vary\, so check the website for the times you wish to visit. DESCRIPTION:The Live Nativity Drive-Through is held at the Coshocton Christian Tabernacle in early December. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Live Nativity Drive-Through has become a holiday tradition for many in the area. \n\n\n\nDrive through the live scenes depicting the birth of Christ\, starting at the marketplace in Bethlehem. Pass the inn which is full for the evening\, and on to the stable where Joseph\, Mary\, and the baby Jesus are celebrating the birth. \n\n\n\nA host of heavenly angels alert the shepherds of the good news\, while the Wise Men worship the newborn child. \n\n\n\nThe journey continues through scenes of the most-told stories about Jesus\, including the carpenter’s shop\, Jesus walking on water\, Jesus at the tomb\, and more. The journey takes around 10 minutes. \n\n\n\nThis is a free event and it is open from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm each evening.

DESCRIPTION:Light in the Forest is a 1-mile walking trail at the Cincinnati Nature Center at Rowe Woods in Milford through most of December. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe trail takes visitors past ponds\, woodlands\, and fields\, with light displays and interactive activities. \n\n\n\nFeaturing children’s craft and interactive activities\, live music\, a bonfire\, a beautifully decorated historic home\, food trucks\, and holiday shopping. \n\n\n\nIf available\, tickets will be sold at the gatehouse\, but this event is expected to sell out\, so purchasing tickets online is advised. Tickets are on sale from early November. \n\n\n\nThe walks start at specified times – 5.30 pm\, 6.30 pm\, and 7.30 pm. The trail is open Thursday\, Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday for four weeks\, and December 22nd and 23rd also.
