DESCRIPTION:Schmidt’s annual Columbus Oktoberfest German celebration takes place at the Expo Center in early September. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Columbus Oktoberfest mainly revolves around beer\, but there’s much more to enjoy here! For the kids\, there are fun arts and crafts\, inflatables\, face painting\, and other activities. \n\n\n\nEvents include Steinstossen (Stone Throw)\, Keg Toss\, and Steinheben (Bavarian Stone Lift). Savor beer from Ohio’s craft breweries in the Craft Bier Garten\, and choose from a wide selection of wines in the Wine Garten. \n\n\n\nThe Kidslinked Oktoberfest on Sunday offers a fun-filled day for the whole family. \n\n\n\nCheck out the Art & Craft Marktplatz and the Merchant Market\, as well as the variety of food and beverages from the vendors. \n\n\n\nThe Columbus Oktoberfest officially opens on Friday\, but there’s also a ‘Kick-Off Party’ on Thursday\, September 5\, from 5 pm to 10 pm. \n\n\n\nFestival Hours: \n\n\n\n\nFriday: 5 pm – 12 Midnight\n\n\n\nSaturday: 12 Noon – 12 Midnight\n\n\n\nSunday: 12 Noon – 8 pm\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDo you have an event that you want to feature (for free) on our VisitOhioToday events calendar?
