DESCRIPTION:The Plains Indian Mound Festival is in early October. This historic festival is centered around the Adena culture Indian mound group. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Plains Indian Mound Festival is a celebration of the Adena Culture mounds and their significance in the community’s history. \n\n\n\nActivities and events include parades\, ancient spear-throwing contests\, narrated wagon rides\, free face painting\, pony rides\, an inflatable bounce house\, a magic show\, and a petting zoo. \n\n\n\nTour rides of the Mounds start at 10 am and are then every hour\, on the hour. \n\n\n\nThere will be food vendors offering local cuisine\, as well as a host of craft vendors throughout the festival. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDo you have an event that you want to feature (for free) on our VisitOhioToday events calendar?
