Barnesville Pumpkin Festival Event

The Barnesville Pumpkin Festival is a four-day event, held on September 21-24, 2023 with a variety of activities for all ages. It features agricultural and horticultural displays, an antique car show, the Giant Pumpkin Parade, and retail window displays.
Festival highlights include amusement rides, children’s crafts, a tractor cruise, and numerous contests like fudge, tall tales, pumpkin roll, and fiddle, banjo and mandolin contest.
Additionally, there are contests such as the pumpkin baby contest, pie baking, little Mr. and Miss, and a beard and mustache competition.
For fitness enthusiasts, there is a 5K run and fitness walk, with race day registration available from 6:45 am to 8:15 am at the Watt Center near the train depot.
The highlight of the Barnesville Pumpkin Festival is the Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off, where enormous pumpkins are showcased. Last year’s winning pumpkin weighed a staggering 2,405 pounds, selling for an impressive $13,000!
