The Downtown Akron Sakura Festival will celebrate spring and cherry blossom trees on Saturday, April 6th, 2024.
The 4th annual Downtown Akron Sakura Festival is a free event that welcomes spring and celebrates the over 450 cherry blossom trees along the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail.
The festival features art demonstrations, sushi, sake, traditional Japanese music, a bike ride, a story walk, origami, Ikebana, and kimono and bonsai vendors.
Events span the Towpath Trail, Mustill Store, Ohio & Erie Canal Park, Locks 1-3, and the Towpath Trailhead at Spaghetti Warehouse.
