The Water Lantern Festival on August 10, 2024, in Columbus is a peaceful event celebrating life, featuring the release of lanterns onto the water.
If you are looking for a family-friendly event that is full of love, happiness, hope, remembrance, and unity and offers a peaceful, memorable experience, the Water Lantern Festival is a lovely choice. At this gathering, thousands of lanterns are placed on the water to reflect their beautiful light.
Come and celebrate life together with your family and friends, and even strangers. This event has been voted #1 by the USA Today People’s Choice for Best Cultural Festival. All ages are welcome, and you can also design your own lantern!
The lanterns are made from rice paper and wood, making them as eco-friendly as possible. They will be cleaned up after the event, and the LED candles will also be reused and recycled.
Your ticket includes a wristband for entry, a floating lantern kit, an LED candle, a commemorative drawstring bag, conversation cards, playing cards, and a marker. It also pays for lantern retrieval and water cleanup afterward.
Food trucks and music will also be there to add to the celebration!
The Water Lantern Festival will occur in Akron, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dayton, as well as Toledo.
Only pet service animals are allowed at this event.
