The Bob Evans Farm Festival is on the weekend of Friday 13th to Sunday 15th October 2023. Bob Evans was a real farmer, and his farm is a real place in Rio Grande!
About the Bob Evans Farm Festival
This festival celebrates the life of Bob Evans on his own farm. Bob Evans was born in 1918 and opened his first diner-meets-steakhouse in Gallipolis, just a short distance from his farm.
He took his small restaurant to a sausage brand to a national restaurant chain. Bob Evans remained involved in the business until his retirement in 1986. He died in 2007.
Free primitive camping is available, there are no electric or water hook-ups. Spots are on a first-come, first-served basis and no reservations are required.
Food vendors will be selling fall favorites such as bean soup, kettle corn, apple dumplings, local treats, and much more. You can, of course, also dine at the site of the first Bob Evans Restaurant.
Artisan crafts, live demonstrations, and family-friendly amusements, along with a full schedule of live music will keep you entertained at this festival.
On Saturday night there will be the ‘Rockets Over Rio’ Fireworks.
There is a small admission fee for this festival, children 5 years old and younger go free.
Please visit the website and/or social media for up-to-date schedules and operating hours for this event.
