The annual Geauga County Maple Festival is a family-fun event celebrating maple syrup. It takes place on Thursday, April 25 through Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Chardon Square in Chardon.
About the Geauga County Maple Festival
Start your morning off right with some Pancakes in the Park! If you are 18 years or older, you can enter the Pancake Eating Contest. Last year’s contest winner ate 22 pancakes in 10 minutes!
There will be rides and concessions. Make sure to stop and get your favorite fair foods.
An arts and crafts show will be held on Chardon Square.
Run off those calories in the Sap Run. Choose either 1 mile or 5 miles.
If running is not your pace, check out the Bathtub Races! Steer a person in a wheeled and sometimes decorated bathtub 250 feet down Main Street, turn around, and come back. It’s always a fan favorite!
If you have kids ages 5 to 11, they can enjoy the Kiddie Tractor Pull.
There will be Invitational Lumberjack Competitions. Both men and women can compete, and contests range from chainsaw and cross-cutting to ax-throwing and chopping.
Live music and other entertainment are sure to please.
The Maple Festival will have baking contests in which maple syrup must be a key ingredient. Try some maple cotton candy or a hot maple stir.
You can buy some of Geauga County’s award-winning maple syrup at the Maple Syrup Blue Ribbon Auction.
A Grand Parade is a highlight of the festival. It occurs over two days, and prizes will be awarded for the best floats, best marching groups, antique/classic cars, and horse divisions. See the introduction of the Queens and Dignitaries.
Free shuttle bus service.
