White Gravel Mines Christmas Caves feature a unique telling of the birth of Jesus in November and December each year. It is located in Minford, Ohio.
White Gravel Mines Production is a non-profit that offers free, dramatic educational events to spread the Word of Jesus. White Gravel Mines of Minford, Ohio, began as a white quartz gravel mine under south central Ohio’s hills in the early 1900s.
In 2016, the non-profit started the Christmas Cave in the gravel mines, and it has become the most visited event of the year. Tens of thousands of visitors have made this an annual tradition.
The Christmas Cave tells the story of the birth of Jesus, and the Easter Cave in the Spring tells the rest of the story.
All ages are welcome! Enjoy the beautiful lights, see the story of Jesus, and try some delicious barbeque. No pets allowed. RSVP for bus groups.
It is a self-guided tour that involves a lot of walking. The path is clearly marked, and you can visit at your own pace. Benches are available throughout the display. Limited mobility assistance is available.
Have your picture taken inside the enchanting caves by a professional photographer. Christmas Cave merchandise is available, too!

This was quite the experience. I would suggest arriving when they open as it gets very busy as the night goes on. To enter the caves you do have to walk up a steep hill. There are two parking lots available. There are food trucks and port-a-johns available.
