Schmidt’s annual Columbus Oktoberfest German celebration is at the Ohio Expo Center the weekend of September 8 to 10, 2023. Centered around beer, there is so much more to enjoy at this event!

About the Columbus Oktoberfest
As you may expect, the Columbus Oktoberfest hosts a lot of events with German names – don’t worry, they are in English too! These events include Steinstossen (Stone Throw), Keg Toss, and Steinheben (Bavarian Stone Lift).
The Craft Bier Garten features Ohio’s craft breweries and the Wine Garten offers an expanded selection of wines.
For the kids, there is also fun arts and crafts, inflatables, and face painting among many other activities.
Sunday is the Kidslinked Oktoberfest from 10am to 5pm. It is a fun-filled day for the whole family and includes Princesses and Super Heroes Breakfast, Bubble Run, and Royal and Super Parade. Contests include hula hoop, limbo, giant Jenga, and water balloon toss.
There is the Art & Craft Marktplatz with artisan vendors selling a wide selection of handmade creations, and the Merchant Market which is specifically for small business and service vendors.
A variety of food and drink is available from various vendors. Please note – all food and beverages will be sold cashless so you will need to have a card with you, or you can purchase an on-site-use Fest Card.
Although this Oktoberfest officially opens on Friday, there is a ‘Kick-Off Party’ on Thursday, September 7 from 5pm to 10pm.
