Uncle Buck’s Stable offers guided horseback rides in the scenic Zaleski State Forest located near Lake Hope State Park in Southeast Ohio.
Take a ride on a beautiful, well-trained horse at Uncle Buck’s Stable! You have a choice of three trail rides.
The Coal Bucket Trail is a gentle, 1-hour trail ride for ages 7+. This trail is great for families and all levels of experience.
On The Moonville Tunnel Trail, you will go through the haunted Moonville Tunnel to the location where the old town of Moonville once stood. This 2-hour trail is for ages 9+.
The King Hollow Tunnel Ride will take you along the Moonville Rail Trail to the King Hollow Tunnel. You will see gorgeous views of Raccoon Creek! This trail ride is 3 hours long and is recommended for ages 9+.
Grab a bite to eat at The Lady Buck Saloon, their Old West-style saloon and restaurant. They have slowed-cooked barbeque, tacos, and more! Craft beer and wine are served.
If you are planning an event, Uncle Buck’s Dance Barn and Beer Garden has a large stage, dance floor, and a 4,000-square-foot beer garden, perfect for wedding receptions, reunions, fundraisers, and more.
Enjoy concerts on the weekends at The Lady Buck Saloon and Uncle Buck’s Dance Barn.

The Moonville Tunnel ride sells out quickly, so be sure to plan ahead. I loved this low-key relaxing meander through the woods. I felt like the guides were knowledgeable about the area and the horses. There is nowhere to stop on the ride, so use the restroom before getting on the horse. Be sure to bring some extra cash for a tip for your guide!
