Three Creeks Metro Park is a large metro park located on the southeast side of Columbus, Ohio. Three Creeks Metro Park is perfect for walking, hiking and biking.

Three Creeks Metro Park is a 1100+ acre metro park located in Groveport, Ohio with multiple entrances. The park is named after the three creeks that join together there: Alum Creek, Big Walnut Creek and Blacklick Creek.
If you want to see where the three creeks join together, the best spot to view that is from the Bluebell Trail which happens to be our favorite trail there!
Three Creeks Metro Park is full of trails of various lengths, ponds, dog park and more!

Trails at Three Creeks Metro Park
There are a total of 9 trails at Three Creeks Metro Park that vary from easy to moderate. While each trail is located close to each other, they all offer something unique.
Blacklick Creek Greenway is a 16 mile trail that is considered an easy hike. This trail is paved and pet friendly. It connects the metro park and other small parks together.
Confluence trail is a 1 mile dirt, moderate rated hiking trail. It runs along side Alum Creek. It has beautiful views of giant trees and the creek.
Heron Pond trail is a 0.6 mile paved, easy rated hike. It loops around Heron Pond and is the perfect location for biking.
Sycamore Fields and Smith Farm trail is a 1.2 mile paved, easy rated hiking trail. This trail is also great for biking and is pet friendly. It loops around the athletic fields and also have a spur that crosses the creek and leads to Smith Farm.
Alum Creek Greenway is a 24.5 mile, paved easy rated hiking trail. This trail is ADA accessible, perfect for biking and pet friendly. It runs along side Alum Creek and provides beautiful creek views! We always see lots of people biking on this trail. It is a popular one.
Bluebell is a 1 mile dirt, moderate rated hiking trail. It runs alongside Blacklick Creek and has a view of where all three creeks come together. This is our favorite trail at Three Creeks Metro Park and in our Top 5 best metro park trails. It really gives you that feeling of bushwhacking your way through the forest.
Evergreen is a 0.5 mile, easy rated hike that is pet friendly. This trail is a mix of grass, direct and boardwalk. The trail goes through a white pine tree grove and leads to the natural play area.
Madison Mills is a 0.2, paved easy rated hike. It is perfect for biking and is pet friendly. It is a short loop around the play area.
Turtle Pond is a 0.4 mile, gravel, easy rated hike that is pet friendly. This path loops around Turtle Pond. It has beautiful views and places to sit along the way.

Animals at Three Creeks Metro Park
Three Creeks Metro Park has a lot of wildlife. It is said there is more than 100 species of birds that have been sighted in the park. Owls, great blue herons, beaver, mink, coyote and deer also call this metro park home.

I have been trying to hit all the metro parks this fall and Three Creeks has been my favorite! I love that "off the trail" type of path that leads you to the three creeks! So beautiful in the fall! I may try to hike it if we get a light snow, I imagine it will be extra beautiful!
