Ziplining is ideal in the summer and fall as the weather is usually good and in the fall you can see the beautiful colors of the leaves. The ziplining offered in Ohio is ideal for both complete novices and those more experienced. Below, we feature 8 zip lining operators in Ohio that all offer something a little different.

Ziplining is one of the closest things to flying without flying! Seeing the world from a birdseye view is incredible! I love it in both summer and fall, summer for the lush green everywhere around you, and fall for the beautiful colors of the leaves.

Ozone Zipline Adventures

This canopy zipline tour is in the southwest of Ohio at the YMCA Camp Kern, in Oregonia. One of the big attractions of this canopy tour is the location. The landscape is stunning, with wonderful views of the Little Miami River and some ancient Native American earthworks.

Four tours are available, and each tour has its distinct offering. One tour includes zip lining through the trees, and the other tour goes over several sky bridges. The tours can be as short as just over an hour or as long as an entire morning or afternoon. Some of the tours include some serious trekking as well, and on some tours, lunch will also be provided.

Valley Zipline Tours

Valley Zipline Tours is on the northern edge of Hocking Hills in southeast Ohio. This 53-acre property has 9 lines, creating a total of 5,000 feet of ziplining. Experiences here include a guided canopy tour, 5 under-the-canopy ziplines, one monster line that is 1,000 feet long, and 2 side-by-side lines to race with your companion!

Family ziplining is the center of the offering at this amazing ziplining area in Lancaster. These trips are for everyone; however, they are perfect for families as they accommodate people of all ages. The tours here are suitable for novices and more experienced zipliners. Full tours are available, including a big zipline of over 1,400 feet.

There is also a shorter version of the tour with 6 zip lines. This is ideal for people new to ziplining who want to build up some confidence before going on the big tour.

For children under 11 years old, there is also a ziplining course. This is perfect for kids who are not quite ready for the bigger tours. Their website is packed with lots of information and worth checking out.

Tree Frog Canopy Tours

Tree Frog Canopy Tours uses a dual cable zipline, making the experience a lot smoother and a lot faster as well. This ziplining zone is near Loudonville in northeast Ohio.

This tour takes guests through the treetops along more than 4,000 feet of cable. This ziplining experience takes most of the morning or afternoon. Guests will walk across 2 sky bridges and will ride 7 ziplines.

Nighttime zipline tours are also on offer and these tours offer a different perspective, compared to zip-lining during the day. The guide will also talk to guests about the different trees and wildlife that live in the area. These tours are ideal for people of all ages and experiences.

ZipZone Canopy Tours

ZipZone Canopy Tours is not only a great place to zipline, but it also offers over 20 acres of trekking. Guests can enjoy 9 outdoor experiences including a few ziplines, rappelling, a skybridge, and a free-fall experience.

These tours take a little over two hours and guests will go through the treetops of the forest, which is located just outside Columbus.

The zipline rush tours include rappelling and the free-fall experience. The nighttime tours are excellent as the only light is from the moon.

Lake Erie Canopy Tours

The ziplining experience here offers guests the opportunity to soar over the Lake Erie shoreline. The platform towers are over 60 feet high. It is from the platform towers that guests can see some amazing views over Geneva State Park.

This tour takes 2.5 hours, so it is an ideal excursion to fit into a morning or an afternoon. A zipline race against another person is also on offer here, and if you prefer a gentler zipline, you can do this as well. This offers guests an opportunity to see the local wildlife in the forest.

Common Ground Canopy Tours

Common Ground Canopy Tours is a fabulous tour that takes over 2.5 hours. There are 13 tree platforms and 7 ziplines taking guests through the treetops and right over the Vermillion River Valley. There are also 2 spiral staircases and 3 aerial bridges.

Tours can be custom-designed for guests as well if this is required. The tours are family-friendly and are designed for people of all ages and all abilities as well. The tour reaches heights of 75 feet in places, so it is very exciting.

Go Ape Treetop Adventure Course

Go Ape Treetop Adventure Course at  Mill Stream Run Reservation near Cleveland is the perfect place if you are looking for an amazing outdoor adventure. These tours can last for up to 3 hours, and they are quite fun-packed.

It isn’t just ziplining available here, there are Tarzan swings and obstacles that are suspended as well. These tours are not for the fainthearted as there are more than 40 tree-to-tree crossings. There are smaller tours for children if they are not ready for the big tour.

Hocking Hills Canopy Tours

Hocking Hills Canopy Tours offers one of the best and most scenic ziplining tours in Ohio. The limestone cliffs and hills create a stunning backdrop. Different tours are available.

There is a tour that offers an introduction to zip lining. There is also the Superzip tour that is very fast, getting up to speeds of over 50 miles per hour. A nighttime zipline tour offers guests the chance to zipline in the moonlight. A great opportunity to view the beauty of Hocking Hills day or night!

The Wilds Zipline Safari

The Wilds Safari Park offers four zipline tours. There are 10 ziplines and guests soar over the trees near the animal pastures, viewing the animals from above! Observation platforms and a rappelling area are also available.

Zipline Safari Tour

A tour through spectacular views, lasting around two and a half hours. Experience the 10 ziplines, rappelling, and observation platforms over animal pastures.

Zipline Overlook Tour

A shorter version of the Zipline Safari Tour, this one lasts for approximately one and a half hours. Enjoy five ziplines while overlooking the animal pastures. Available on weekends and some selected weekdays.

Zipline Sunset Tour

This is the Zipline Safari Tour at sunset. Available on selected Friday and Saturday evenings only.

Howl at the Moon Zipline Tour

Experience spectacular views of the nighttime sky along with the sounds of The Wilds! Featuring five ziplines and lasting approximately one and a half hours, this tour is offered on select dates on or around a full moon.
