Corn Mazes in Ohio

There is an abundance of great corn mazes in Ohio. During September and October, many farms offer the challenge of navigating one or two corn mazes. Many of these mazes incorporate a game or scavenger hunt. What a great way to get lost at the weekend!

About Corn Mazes in Ohio

Many farms in Ohio have corn mazes, pumpkin picking, and other activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Fall is a wonderful time of year for getting out and about, the weather is not too hot, and usually not too cold. Beware, however, it can be wet and you may get muddy, or the farm may not be open if there has been too much rain!

Be sure to read the tips for visiting corn mazes below. Corn mazes are great fall fun! As a family, we love to get lost, get found, and get lost again! Most corn mazes have maps and/or signposts along the way to help you find your way out!

Tips for Visiting Corn Mazes

  • Plan to stay at least a couple of hours. With most of the farms having lots of activities, you can easily while away 3 hours or more at each farm!
  • If you plan to be at one of the farms at a mealtime, check that the farm sells food, or make sure you take your own.
  • Some farms are open after dark, and some have night mazes. Be sure to bring flashlights if you don’t want to buy them!
  • You are asked not to cut through the corn, you should stay on the path.
  • Please don’t pick, pick up, or throw any corn.
  • Corn mazes are usually not wheelchair or stroller-friendly.
  • The opening times of corn mazes are dependent on weather conditions. Check their website or Facebook page before leaving home.
  • Sturdy, weatherproof footwear is a must when tackling a corn maze!

Corn Mazes in Central Ohio

Lynd Fruit Farm

This is the home of the TOGA Maze, an 8-acre treasure hunt with challenges along the way. There is also a mini maze for children.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the Corn Maze, Campfire Area and Maze Courtyard. There are also lots of activities for kids at Lynd Fruit Farm.

Open: September and October

The MAiZE at Little Darby Creek

The MAiZE at Little Darby Creek is fall fun for all the family. They have this large corn maze, as well as the ‘Field of Fright’ which is only open after dark on Friday and Saturday nights.

Open: Late September to Late October

Pigeon Roost Farm

A large, themed maze is part of the Great Pumpkin Fun Center, and there is the Mini Sorghum Maze for smaller children.

Open: Mid-September to late October

Van Buren Acres

Van Buren Acres has an intricately designed themed maze, different each year. They also have a small maze. The Flashlight corn maze is open Friday, October 27, and Saturday, October 28 (weather permitting). Many activities and eating places.

Open: Early September to late October

Lohstroh Family Farms

Take a stroll through the corn maze and find your way through twists and turns to find characters. This maze is geared toward people of all ages. It provides a challenge but is not so big that you are there for hours.

Open: Early September to early November

Wheeler Farms

There are three mazes, all of differing skill levels. Challenge yourself to find all 18 checkpoints throughout nearly 5 miles of intricate mazes!

Open: September and October
Friday: 5p m to 10 pm
Saturday: Noon to 10 pm
Sunday: Noon to 6 pm

Weller Farms at Auglaize Canoe & Kayak

Weller Farms at Auglaize Canoe & Kayak offers a corn maze that is 9 acres of fun!

Open: September and October
Saturday: 9 am to 5 pm
Sunday: 12.30 pm to 5 pm

Lincoln Ridge Farms

The corn maze is part of the Fall Pumpkin Festival with lots of fun and activities.

Open: Last weekend in September to late October
Saturday: 11 am to 7 pm
Sunday: 12 Noon to 6 pm

Corn Mazes in Northeast Ohio

Maze Craze

You can get lost in over 21 acres of corn maze here! This is four mazes in one, it is separated into Blue, Black, Green, and Red mazes with varying levels of difficulty.

The average time to complete all 4 mazes is between 1½ and 3 hours, and the distance is a little over 2 miles (depending on how ‘directly’ you get to the finish!).

This corn maze was voted one of the best in the nation in The USA Today 10 Best 2018, 2021, and 2022. It was also in the top 10 favorites in The Best Things of the State of Ohio 2019 and 2022.

Food and beverages are available. Many other activities, including Corn Boxes, Corn Hole, and Corn Cannon.

Open: Mid-September to late October
Friday: 5 pm to 11 pm
Saturday: 11 am to 11 pm
Sunday: 11 am to 9 pm

Ramseyer Farms

This farm has two 8-acre corn mazes and a mini maze. The first 8-acre maze is difficult to get lost in as there are over 275 signs along the way, which also point out interesting facts about Ohio cities, famous Ohioans, Ohio sports figures, Ohio presidents, and more!

The second of the 8-acre mazes is more challenging and has a new theme each year. Allow 30 to 60+ minutes for this maze.

The mini-maze is ideal for families. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for this maze.

There are over 50 activities during the Ramseyer Farms Fall Fun season. There are also many food and drink booths on-site.

Open: September and October
Wednesday to Friday: 10 am to 7 pm
Saturday: 11 am to 7 pm
Sunday: 1 pm to 6 pm

Derthick’s Corn Maze

Derthick’s has three corn mazes: small, medium, and large. There are 16 acres of corn maze here. There is also a Moonlight Maze event.

For one day only, dogs are allowed to walk the maze. There are many fun family activities throughout the season.

Open: Mid-September to late October
Friday: 6 pm to 11 pm
Saturday: 1 pm to 11 pm
Sunday: 12 Noon to 6 pm

Arrowhead Orchard

Lots of fall activities are available at this orchard, including a corn maze, pumpkin patch, and hayrides.

Open: September and October
Monday, Friday and Saturday: 9 am to 6 pm
Sunday: 12 Noon to 6 pm

Beriswill Farms

Beriswill Farms has corn mazes and lots of other fall activities. Drinks and snacks are available.

Open: Mid-September to late October
Tuesday to Sunday: 11 am to 6 pm

Dussel Farm Pumpkin Festival

A great fun month – activities include a large corn maze, pumpkin picking, and adventures. Drinks and snacks are available.

Open: Throughout October: 8 am to 7 pm

Heritage Farms Pumpkin Pandemonium

The Pumpkin Pandemonium is great fall fun with lots of activities and of course, a corn maze. At the weekends there is a food truck and hotdogs.

Open: Late September to late October
Monday to Thursday: 2 pm to 6 pm
Friday to Sunday: 10 am to 5 pm

Hillcrest Orchards

As well as its corn maze, Hillcrest has lots of activities including a Barrel Train, Corn Box, Hayride, Pedal Karts, and a Playground.

Open: September and October
Saturday and Sunday: 10 am to 6 pm

Honey Haven Fall Festival

Here, the kids can enjoy an indoor straw maze and a barnyard zoo. For the family, you can enjoy working your way through an 8-acre corn maze. There is a country store and a weekly craft show. Drinks and snacks are available.

Open: Late September to Late October
Friday: 3 pm to 7 pm
Saturday: 10 am to 7 pm
Sunday: Noon to 6 pm

Mapleside Farms

Mapleside has one of the biggest corn mazes – called: The Big Corn Maze! There is a lot going on at Mapleside during their Fall Festival, including dozens of special attractions and live music.

Open: Mid-September to late October
Friday: 4 pm to 9 pm
Saturday: 10 am to 9 pm
Sunday: 10 am to 6 pm

Rufener Hilltop Farms

The Rufener’s Fall Festival has many family activities, including a 12-acre corn maze and a junior corn maze. They have various special guest appearances and events throughout the Festival.

Open: Late September to late October
Weekdays: 2 pm to 6 pm
Weekends: 11 am to 6 pm

Szalay’s Farm

Here you will find a challenging 3-acre corn maze. Find eight wooden pumpkins and your way out of the maze! You can expect this maze to take approximately 30 minutes, and includes a trip through the ‘Spinning Barn’. There are many more fall activities on this farm.

Explore two different mazes in this 5-acre labyrinth and discover the different game stations to determine who wins!

Irons Fruit Farm

This themed maze is 12 acres. There are special events and lots of family fun.

Shaw Farm Market

This 15-acre corn maze takes you through nearly 3 miles of twists and turns. New design every year.

Daily: 9 am to 6 pm

Young’s Jersey Dairy

Here you will find Cowvin’s Corny Maze – 3½ acres of twists, dead ends, and tricky junctions.

Open: Mid-September to late October
Daily: 11 am to 6 pm

Lucas Brothers Farms

The Lucas Brothers Fall Festival is a season of lots of family activities, including a 6-acre corn maze.

Open: Late September to late October
Saturday and Sunday: 11 am to 6 pm

Tom’s Maze

8 fun-filled acres of corn maze. Solve the puzzle and escape the maze!

Open: September and October
Thursday: 12 Noon to 6 pm
Friday and Saturday: 12 Noon to 10 pm
Sunday: 12 Noon to 6.30 pm

Erwin Farms & Corn Maze

The corn maze at Erwin Farms is a 10-acre themed maze, different each year.

There are a lot of activities for children, including play areas, slides, and duck racing! In summer visitors can pick their own sunflowers. The fall season begins early to mid-September. Check their Facebook page where all the information is regularly posted.

There are also events hosted by Erwin Farms throughout the year.

Libby’s Pumpkin Patch

This challenging corn maze will provide lots of fun for the whole family!

Open: Late September to late October
Friday: 1 pm to 5 pm
Saturday and Sunday: 11 am to 5 pm

Sweetapple Farm

Here you will find a large corn maze with a different theme each year. There are games to play within the maze. Special events include Flashlight Corn Maze.

Open: Mid-September to late October
Friday: 4 pm to 9 pm
Saturday: 10 am to 7 pm
Sunday: 12 Noon to 6 pm
