About Findlay
Findlay is the county seat of Hancock County in northwest Ohio. It is the second largest city in this region of the state. The Blanchard River flows through Findlay, and the state’s largest above-ground reservoir is in this city.
Some of Findlay’s annual activities include Boogie on Main Street in June, Flag City BalloonFest in August, and Oktoberfest in September.

Don’t forget your furry friend – the K-9 Field of Dreams Dog Park is a great spot for a workout together. And for a unique visit, the Northwest Ohio Railroad Preservation is a must-see attraction in the area. Findlay has something for everyone!

This exciting attraction has something for children of all ages. This is a hands-on Museum where children are encouraged to get involved and learn. There are various play opportunities and exhibits.

Oakwoods Nature Preserve
Oakwoods Nature Preserve is a 227-acre area with wetlands, woodlands, prairie, and two lakes. Activities and facilities include a Discovery Center, boating, fishing, picnicking, trails, restrooms, and more. Dogs on a leash are welcome in the park.

Emory Adams Park
Emory Adams Park has over 10 softball and baseball diamonds. Restrooms and changing facilities are available. There is a huge play area for other people who prefer not to partake in softball or baseball. There is also a large area where events take place and the park has a range of animals that call this lovely place its home.
Emory Adams Park also has parking facilities. The Park is the ideal place to do some trekking and go for a bike ride.

Findlay Waterfalls Area
The Waterfalls Area is a 0.5-acre park located across the river from Riverside Park Waterfront. Visitors can walk along the Blanchard River Greenway Trail, picnic, launch, land, and portage canoes and kayaks. A soothing waterfall with a relaxing area among sycamore trees.

Fort Findlay Playground
This environment is built on fun! There is something for adults and children, of all ages, including horseback riding and play hide and seek. There is also a safe playground for children to run riot. Horse Riding lessons are also available in this park and there are other forms of exercise available. There is also a restaurant nearby that focuses on healthy food and drinks. The park also has large fields where visitors can enjoy the sunset after a day of fun.

AMF Sportsman Lanes
There are plenty of activities available here. Of course, bowling is the big one as it features tournaments and leagues. For the casual visitor, lanes can be rented by the hour or by the game. Hancock Historical Museum
Hancock Historical Museum is filled with different aspects of US history. The Museum also hosts tours of this building and the other buildings that are on site. Findlay Riverbend Park
This 129-acre park has something for everyone, with a stunning river where swimming is permitted in summer, as is fishing. Some of the activities in the park include disc golf, wildlife trails, and playgrounds.
The park also offers lovely shaded areas that are perfect in the summer and visitors are available to picnic in these lovely, quiet areas. Dogs are allowed into the park as well, so everyone is welcome.

Northwest Ohio Railroad Preservation
Northwest Ohio Railroad Preservation was established in 1998. This is an extremely fun place to visit to learn more about the railroad. You can ride the train and the staff is on hand to tell visitors about the beginning of the Railroad in this area. The staff will also tell visitors about the history of Rail and especially about steam rail. The Northwest Ohio Railroad Preservation also has a store that has plenty of goodies on offer including food and drinks, and there is also a small gift shop that sells train memorabilia.

Findlay Miracle Park
Findlay Miracle Park is a fun and relaxing area for both kids and adults. This is quite a big park and it has something to keep anyone amused for hours. There are 2 playgrounds within the park. One of the playgrounds is for smaller children and the other one is for the older kids. There are also different areas around the playgrounds and the park that are perfect for picnicking and keeping an eye on the kids. There are restrooms available for visitors and pavilions as well. This is a well-thought-out park and one that is well worth a visit.
